Why Jinger Duggar Is Considered The Rebel Of The Family
Lifestyle - News
The Duggar family, stars of the now-canceled TLC series "19 Kids and Counting" and "Counting On," look and behave a specific way because of their strong religious beliefs. With all of these strict regulations in place, it's easy to label any child who deviates even slightly from the Duggar mold as rebellious, and Jinger Duggar is one of them.
She began her rebellious streak by being the first Duggar to permanently move far away from her family's hometown in Arkansas when she moved to Texas. She took it a step further by moving to the edgy L.A. area with her husband, Jeremy Vuolo.
Her classification as a rebel continued when she started wearing pants. Jinger writes in her book, "The Hope We Hold: Finding Peace in the Promises of God,” "My mom had always dressed as girls in skirts and dresses, a standard that was taken from Deuteronomy 22:5, which says, 'A woman shall not wear a man's garment.'”
The Duggar children are known for their brunette locks, but Jinger colored her hair blonde in 2019, making her the first in the family to go through such a radical hair color change. While Jinger's means of rebellion are not daring for most of us, her actions are certainly groundbreaking when you look at the strict lifestyle she grew up in.
