How COVID-19 Affected Michelle And Jim Bob Duggar's Marriage
Lifestyle - News
"19 Kids and Counting" stars Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have been together since they were teenagers. One of their most controversial takes on marriage was Michelle’s opinion that a wife owes sex to her husband even if she’s tired or looking after a baby — and if that works for them, then so does quarantining together during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unlike most couples, who found it taxing to spend every waking hour together during the lockdown, the Duggars revealed that quarantining strengthened their marriage. They consider themselves to be “more blessed than any couple,” despite quite a few stressful events at the height of the pandemic, including their son Josh Duggar’s prison sentence.
After her husband Josh's imprisonment, Anna Duggar has been living with her in-laws, but since the Duggars are strict fundamentalist Christians, divorce isn’t an option in their book, and they allegedly don't want Anna to split from Josh. The Duggars' attitude towards marriage may be strong enough to weather a pandemic, but perhaps shouldn't be enforced on others.
