Here's When Meghan Markle May Be Going On Maternity Leave
Ever since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry revealed in their tell-all Oprah Winfrey interview that they are expecting a baby girl, the world has been anxiously awaiting for the royal baby's arrival. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly expecting their second child in the early summer.
While Markle was pregnant with her son Archie, she managed to keep herself very busy. During her last maternity leave, the former Suits actress guest-edited the British Vogue "Changemakers" edition, which honored several influential women, and became the fastest-selling issue in Vogue's history (via Forbes). She also finished her first capsule collection for her clothing line with the charity Smart Works. The line featured women's workwear pieces and for each piece that was purchased, one piece was donated to the charity.
Considering the expectant mom was so busy during her first maternity leave many followers of the couple are wondering when she will start her leave this time around.
Meghan Markle's maternity leave is sooner than you think
According to Page Six, Meghan Markle will go on leave in about a month to start preparing for the baby's impending arrival. Her daughter's official due date hasn't been released to the public, however, it's believed that the baby will arrive in June.
Markle is expected to take a leave from all of her work responsibilities, including her duties at the Archewell Foundation, the nonprofit she runs with Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex is planning to have a home birth for her daughter at her Montecito estate. She had initially planned to deliver Archie at the Frogmore Cottage but ended up giving birth at Portland Hospital in Central London. With Markle's due date fast approaching, the anticipation surrounding whether or not Markle will finally get to have a home birth and when the world will get to meet the new royal baby is at an all-time high.
