What We Know About The Women On Matt James' Season Of The Bachelor

Monday, January 4 will mark the beginning of Bachelor Matt James' journey to find love (via EW). Okay, we will try our best to wait that long, but in the meantime, here's some good news: We just got a sneak peek at the first Black Bachelor's potential matches (via Today). First, who would be a good fit for James? What we know about the dapper 28-year-old so far is that he's a real estate broker from North Carolina who played football for Wake Forest (via ABC). He went on to play professional ball, but now counts food and giving back among his passions.

So will anyone actually be good enough for this gem of a gent? We aren't sure! But there sure do seem to be some pretty amazing prospects for James judging by the bios of the cast members just released by ABC. There's Abigail, a 25-year-old from the West coast who enjoys spending time with her grandparents — she is sure wholesome enough for The Bachelor, no? And the lineup includes an assortment of women with very interesting jobs who may peak James' interest, such as a professional ballerina, and a social worker.

More about the women who are poised to steal Bachelor Matt James' heart

The ladies on James' season of The Bachelor range in age from 21 to 32, and are from all over the country, from New York City, to San Francisco. There's even a woman named Magi from Ethiopia, who like her potential husband, runs a nonprofit organization, and is described in her ABC bio as being "loyal," "honest," and having a "positive outlook on the world."

Cassandra the social worker also seems like a possible perfect match for James given her passion for giving back. Or could Emani, a fellow realtor, steal The Bachelor's heart? It's really anyone's guess who will catch his eye — it could even be Victoria, who oddly lists her job as "Queen." All in all, the 32 women who are vying for roses on season 25 of the ABC reality love show are bound to create drama and good TV, and we can't wait to learn more about them, and whether they make connections with James.

For his part, James admits he has never been in love before (via Oprah Mag). Will that change starting January 4? We'll be watching!
