The Truth About Selling Sunset's Maya Vander

Who doesn't love Selling Sunset's Maya Vander's no-nonsense approach to both selling million dollar properties and handling the often-sticky office dynamics at The Oppenheim Group? Given her adept real estate know-how and how flawlessly she handles drama with her co-workers, would you believe Vander isn't born and raised in Los Angeles? She was born in Israel and moved to the City of Angels in 2002 according to Grazia.

And in fact, the mom of two is bicoastal — she splits her time between L.A. and Miami. That's where her husband, who works in finance, has an office (via Screen Rant). Vander's other half lives a mostly private life, and isn't mentioned by name on Selling Sunset. The couple shares two children, 2-year-old Aiden, and Ella, a little girl who was born in May of 2020. The 32-year-old often shares photos of her children on Instagram, and sometimes, her hubby makes an appearance.

Maya Vander has been very successful in real estate

In addition to building a beautiful family — and after some hardship, as Vander has been open about suffering two previous miscarriages — the brunette beauty has truly established herself as a top real estate agent.

She is reportedly worth $1 million, and that number is likely to keep growing (via Women's Health). That's because not only is Vander studying for her broker's license, but she works for two brokerages. In addition to the L.A.-based Oppenheim Group, the strong-willed sales machine sells for Douglas Elliman while in Florida.

Of course, Vander is by no means the richest Selling Sunset star. Jason and Brett Oppenheim, who run the group, boast a $50 million net worth — Vander's co-workers Chrishell Stause and Heather Rae Young are the wealthiest ladies at the brokerage.

Maya Vander is set for season 4 of Selling Sunset

Meanwhile, Vander recently responded to rumors she won't appear on season 4 of Selling Sunset because her family resides in Miami.

"I'm actually working with a few potential, very good clients with [Jason Oppenheim] in L.A.," she told People, adding, "Just focusing on Miami a lot, but I have a couple of pretty interesting clients that I might have to make the trip to L.A. for." So it seems the sky's the limit with two cities full of prospective high net worth clients in her purview.

What we won't see on season 4 of the addictive Netflix show are Vander's kids. "Apparently, it's expensive to film a baby in production. They have to hire nurses. The baby can only be on up to 30 minutes. It's a whole thing," she explained to Women's Health in August of 2020.
